Not SAR per say, I'm a member of CCRT (Civilian Crisis Response Team). Basically a civilian organization that trains and prepares to help fill the gaps with emergency services in the even of a disaster where ordinary services are stretched thin.

Medical, Disaster prep and response, HAM radio stuff, SAR, and a few other things as well. Mostly when we get active its to deliver supplies and water to people who are stranded during and immediately after a disaster, clear roads so emergency personnel can reach people in need, and set up HAM stations to group members who have phone service allowing people to reach their families and let them know they are ok in the event phone service is out.

no not me. theres a few in the group who do, we also affiliate with the WV HAM operators club. They basically take their equipment and rig a line until one of them can get cell service, then relay communications that way

I have been thinking about it. A lot of people get lost near me but I am super busy and don't want to constantly decline going out.
