I like the nutri bullet for juicing it leaves some substanence in it so I feel like I'm chewing something. Been doing it all week for breakfast. Small lunch and dinner with couple snacks, fresh fruit or handful of almonds or trail mix(no candy variety). My juice consists of spinach, carrots, apple or strawbwerries, scoop of protein powder and water. Taste pretty good. Lost 3 pounds so far. We are back at the "Y".

They gave me tiny amounts when I was in the hospital this week. Sugar was 121 and they made me take one ...1.... unit. Sheesh...

I am a type 1 diabetic; been one since I was 7 years old. I have often thought about what I would do in a SHTF situation, it'd be tough. Honestly, without insulin (as a type 1), your best bet is to avoid all carbs, and spend the majority of your time being active (to keep your sugars down). It would be tough, but in the hypothetical sense, it could work reasonably well.
