yeah, its not so much that any of its "propriatary", as much as the format. Alot of it is in lesson plan format and its those lessonplans that made what I did "special", it was the culmination of years of teaching and refining. But, I think I'm gonna sift through some of it, update some of it, and write up something for the site. My contribution to a place that has taught me alot. might take me a bit, we'll see how much I can get done.
At the end of the day, we were/are all basically teaching the exact same stuff. Its just all in how we were teaching it. I specialized in teaching guides & outfitters, LE, & professional rescuers. Alot of leadership theory and operational stuff was also included in my classes & thats the stuff I would par down a bit. I could also recomend a few books that I think are no nonsense & and without alot of the gee whiz BS like making a traction splint out of an antler.....

Let's start with things a level B might use. As peeps aren't going to make their living with some of these tools, I would go the inexpensive route 1st. I would, however, not skimp so much on supplies.
Equip: Bp cuff & stethoscope. Pen light. shears. maybe a scalpel. cpr mask or small BVM. maybe a flexi c-collar
Supplies: 3-4 rolls tape, 4x4's (a lot), 2x small/med towels, 1 large trauma pad, 2x flexible splint (SAM), small bottle of eye wash or other sterile liquid, forceps, 2-3 roll elastic bandage w or w/out velcro, few packs of vionex & alcohol swabs, 1 small bottled H20
Other: maybe re-purpose a small tackle-box, soft sided tool kit, backpack to carry. make sure its expandable
meds (and I use the term lightly): Epi pen, diphenhydramine, maybe a glucose paste, aspirin, get one of dads unopened bottle of nitros, act charcoal (maybe)
those would keep a good emt-b (lol) busy and "kind of" (save for nitro i bet) w/in his scope of prac. in a lot of places.
As level goes up so does the pack....but i would have macguyver like skills with my basic fundamentals first.
And the monkey presses the button.
