That's pretty cool, and handy.

I'd honestly forgot about this method although I'd done it as a kid in metal shop.

I was making a metal rose for a girlfriend and was beating the steel plate with a ball peen hammer for so long it got hot, on one strike it flipped the petal onto some greasy rags and poof!

I won't forget this again
