Torn

Every 26,000 years the earth experiences a magnetic reversal or pole shift. These reversals are always accompanied by disasters of catastrophic proportions. They also coincide with two other events: an ice age and species extinction.

We are, at this time, 50,000 years overdue.

Darius Cobb wasn’t thinking of man’s extinction. He honestly never gave it a thought. A college professor and part time country singer, Darius worried only about teaching and playing his guitar until the day he is attacked by cockroaches and is placed into a special government quarantine.

There, he and the others start piecing together the inevitable. Using his knowledge, he begins predicting the events that unfold. Together he and his group plan and then implement a long term survival plan.

If the world is going to end, they will survive.

Then Came War

Following a devastating train wreck, a small group of survivors emerge from the wreckage to discover New York City is the target of an attack and millions of bodies line the streets.

Harry Hayward is one of those survivors. He served his country, fought two wars, and in his eighty years on the earth could say he had seen it all. Until that day.

Surprised that the group separates, Harry is left alone to care and guide an eight-year-old boy out of the devastation of New York and hopefully to safety.

But finding safety isn't easy. The destruction extends far beyond New York. A massive strike has commenced on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States and for the first time since the War of 1812, America has been invaded.

Harry and the boy, along with the other survivors are deep inside occupied territory. As they journey and struggle through the front lines of a war that will rage for decades, they discover just how hard they have to fight for the price of freedom. A freedom they all had taken for granted.

First there was normalcy ... then came war.

Then Came War is the prequel to Wasteland and is part of the America's Demise Series.

Target Earth

A monster asteroid is streaking its way toward earth and life will never be the same for the human race after the impact, that is, if any life remains. When Danny, the twelve year old son of Travis and Lauren Thompson, discovers a three mile wide asteroid burning a path toward the blue planet, preparations immediately begin for the inevitable impact.

The Thompsons, along with nine of their closest friends and their respective children, begin a frantic scramble to prepare for the asteroid's arrival and the terrifying consequences that will inevitably result.

Author's note: This book is the beginning of a three part series. It is my first attempt at writing fiction and I hope you will enjoy it enough to continue reading the second and third installments. I welcome your input and any comments you may have on the subject matter, grammar, spelling or punctuation. I've attempted to keep my writing as clean and understandable as possible, so please feel free to provide your opinions.

Target Earth 2

After the discovery of a three-mile-wide asteroid destined to impact earth, a group of preppers create a retreat. In this retreat, they intend to survive the impact and aftermath of the asteroid nicknamed Nemesis.

However, while the majority of the group has moved to the retreat, one man and his son are still waiting to make the move. Mark Brookes and his son Chris are waiting in Tucson for Mark's father to arrive from Texas.

Author's Note: This is the second book in the three-part Target: Earth series. If you've read the first book, I hope you enjoyed it and will enjoy the second installment as well. While writing, I found myself being drawn into the lives of these people, and discovered many new things about them along the way. I've been told that a writer learns from her characters, and that they somehow tell the writer things about themselves that were not previously known. It's definitely true. Come along with me and discover what my characters revealed to me as I spun this tale.

The End Book One (the event)

The Earth as mankind knew it was no more. THE END chronicles the lives of the few who managed to survive by sheer luck. Facing seemingly insurmountable challenges, they must find a way to co-exist or parish. Not knowing the reason for the population's devastation, they simply call it 'The Event'. In the struggle to survive, new leaders emerge to change the course of civilization for better or worse. Those fortunate enough to have survived The Event must begin taking care of the basic needs of shelter, food, safety, and first-aid. To complicate matters, they must solve those problems without computers, communication systems, or even the most basic means of travel.

At times the complications seem insurmountable but giving up is not an option.

THE END begins immediately after THE EVENT, when the nation changes from a population of 307,000,000 people to only a few thousand spread out over the entire country and follows the survivors through the first chaotic days until the end of the first year. Each day brings new discoveries, dangers, and hope.

The Beginning Book Two (the event)

THE BEGINNING takes up after the first year following THE EVENT from the first book THE END. It chronologically follows the world progress in the USA, CHINA, and RUSSIA and other European Countries. It continues to look at the challenges and plights that the survivors face. While progress is slow and steady, they are far from out of the woods as far as long term survival goes.

Russia and China along with the US survivors is the focal point of this second book. The development of those countries are looked at in relation to the USA growth and progress.

The Revelation Book Three (the event)

Part three of the EVENT SERIES takes up from Part II - The Beginning and follows the major surviving countries as they try to work together to bring some normalcy back to the world. A daring undertaking by America to resurrect an old Battleship in an effort to hold a world conference in Lisbon, Portugal. Only China refuses to attend as things go from bad to worse under Military Dictatorship in that country. Only two of the surviving countries still consider conquest over rebuilding. China and Germany have an entirely different agenda.

THE REVELATION captures the intensity as each nation tries to determine what course the should take. Nothing is every easy as each nations leader has to overcome one obstetrical after another on the road to recovery

The Solitary Man

Some folks might call what Donald is trying to create with his little rural house as an effort to become more self-sufficient. Donald can agree with that line of thinking, but the way he sees it, it is going to be own personal uphill battle and race against time to create a safe haven "bugout" location before a NASA predicted solar storm hits. His friends and family think his extra workload is a waste of time and energy. His neighbors' think he is a bit quirky somewhat or eccentric. He is not. He is just another personally driven good ol boy prepper on a mission. He is about to perform a labor of love and preparedness that he hopes might just save him and the little dead end road community he just moved into. He is believing in and heeding NASA`s warnings, as well as his own premonitions of impending societal breakdown.

Like all Ron's books, he takes his adventure story and weaves in prepper tricks and introduces some new survival supplies that possibly most folks haven't thought about yet and integrates them into his storyline. This book focuses on building a bug out location from scratch, with permaculture and disaster psychology applied to an unfolding catastrophe. Basicaly how will people act as an apocalyptic event unfolds. This book is dedicated to the new Real Day Prepper show and Mr. Foster has actually accomplished much of what is written in this book as a real life experience in developing a self reliant lifestyle.
