holy crap, 6 people have died and they are looking at other cases
HOUSTON Health officials from all over the Greater Houston area are comparing notes so doctors know what to look out for after discovering that six people have died from the H1N1 virus.
Some families are hoping this news will help solve the mystery of their loved ones deaths. Families are comparing stories, too.
The Folk family believes that H1N1 might have caused their loved ones death.
Levi Folk tries to make sense out of how he lost his wife, Linda.
To this day I want a final report of what really happened just for closure, Folk said.
Linda Folk was 52 and did not drink and lived an active lifestyle, so her husband was sure she would beat the flu-like symptoms she got just before Thanksgiving.

I wonder if they had the flu shot, from the article
Doctors say this years flu vaccine contains the strain of H1N1 thats circulating, so you should definitely get the shot if you havent already.
I'm not against vaccines, but seems like every time I have ever gotten a flu shot, I get flu like symptoms
Its been admitted that the .gov has allowed all kinds of things to be added to regular vaccines over the years. It seems justified to be distrustful of vaccines in general. While I have always had my kids vaxed for the common diseases, I think its a catch 22 situation. If I had a do over, I'd be much more particular of which ones they got. Its hard to know what to do when its for your kids and their welfare is at stake either way you go. One of my friends doesn't vax her kids for most diseases and just found out her kids can't attend public school next year. CDC is saying get the flu shot that it covers H1N1. It causes a quandry in my brain because I have my youngest child who was a micro preemie to decide for. A bad flu strain could wipe him out..... and so could the vaccine if it has extra goodies in it.... In the end I will probably get him and me vaxed this year....
I agree.I'm actually not anti-vaccination. I am anti over-vaccination. I think things like the HPV vax are dangerous. My kids are vaxed according to the common acceptable level, boosters and all. MMR is one that all 3 of my kids had trouble with. My oldest girl had a personality change that never resolved whicb was admitted to be vax related. I also think there are too many routine boosters. I like checking blood titers personally. To each his own, my only problem is being talked down to....
