...what would you do? Suppose an economic collapse(not a natural disaster) happened this year, would you stay put? Bug out?

I was talking to an old buddy the other day and some of the stuff he said got me thinking about this.

I am not to the point quite yet where I'd feel confident staying put. I don't have the food situation finished, and I'm in an area too densely populated to feel safe. I have a bug out option, but I'd be in a similar food situation there, although security is much tighter.

So, if shit went down now... are you ready?

We would have to stay put, really don't have any other options right now, that will be fixed this summer.

Stay put. We live out in the sticks and have provisions put away to last awhile. We have solar, our own well, etc. I want to get a Big Berkey and we would be set until next Winter when we would need an outside source of gas for our generator to get us through power wise.

If SHTF and I wasn't working full-time I would try and build a woodgasifier to get rid of the need for gas.

Join the mob. Prey upon the weak. Follow others to their bug out locations and light upon them like flies upon a pasture patty.

And the monkey presses the button.

I live in a city. I would get out of here after a day or so, I figure after a couple days all hell would break loose and I want nothing to do with that. A few of my friends talked about this while we were camping a few months back. We decided that were we camp would be our meeting place. After that I have no idea.

If you need to bug out, do it now. Start your garden

I am also in the city. No food supply either so I think I would move up towards the mountain(Rainier) we have family up there. I have some trapping supplies and gear to get some small game. They also live right on a river so fishing is possible. Learning about all the wild edibles would help but I don't think we would be able to hold out very long. Hopefully I could get some rice and food before it all happened.

I'm already bugged out. Food would be tight for a while, and power would be a serious concern, as would fuel for the vehicles. I have a pretty ideal set up tho so it would really just take some tweaks to get everything where it needed to be. I feel for you guys in the city/populated areas. In a real SHTF scenario things would get real bad, real fast.
