I wonder if there is a segment of entrepreneurs that are waiting for Barry to leave the White House, or at the very least, for Obamacare to be repealed. If I was putting together a business plan for a midsize business that would be affected by Obamacare, I might put it off for 1 or 2 more years, knowing that my startup costs would be lower. Knowing that a better climate for startups and securing investment were just a little ways off might be worth waiting for.

Our country is so unfriendly to small business today, that this doesn't come as a big surprise to me. We run the small town business owner out with high taxes and bad regulation, and then bail out corporations that can't cut it on their own. It's a messed up system...

ashleigh11, K, spotted-horsesHard to say, for me personally, I have an issue with the us against them mentality, the whole "you didn't build that" from the administration really got to me, funny the govt thinks they just generate money out of thin air and can just build roads and stuff, wonder where they got that money from? Oh that's right, income tax that businesses help generate, property taxes that are paid through wages, etc. We see it a lot on the state level.
for example; one year we had to renew our liquor license, filled out the forms, went in front of the town council, they signed off, sent the form in to the state along with the $900 fee and waited, about 2 days before my current license expired I get a phone call, they weren't going to release my new license because I forgot to include the 10 dollar filing fee.
I said let me get this straight, you are going to hold up my ability to do business where I provide over 50,000 dollars a year in sales tax, provide 15 people with jobs that generate income tax, over a 10 dollar fee that you could just send me a bill for?
Yes
So I had to get in my car and drive to Augusta to give them 10 dollars to get my license
there have been other examples, but that one really pissed me off

Wow, that's ridiculous. It's so hard not to be negative about government when I hear things like this... Must. Not. Start. Political. Rant.
