It's strange, a lot of people I never thought would talk about preparedness are now talking about it openly. I don't know if it's just becoming more popular or if people are looking at places around the globe (places like Greece and Spain) and starting to think it isn't such a bad idea to have some extra supplies on hand.
So my brother and his family left yesterday morning, it was a good visit.
My brother and sister in law had two of their own kids and did foster care for special needs children over the past decade or so.
They adopted two of the boys and one of them came up with them to visit.
So I put my nephew right to work cleaning out the barn
since he did such a great job, my brother took him for a ride on the 4 wheeler
he needed some upgrades for his clothes, so I made sure he was representing correctly
I don't think he changed out of them the whole time he was here.
So the next day he helped stack some firewood, I think he was giving us a hint
so of course I had to introduce him to the sport of MMA
we made a bet before each fight, he made his choice based off the color of their shorts.
He won every fight, even the one on TUF
But I did get a chance to talk to my brother, he said he was joking years ago when he told me he was concerned about me. He has been concerned for quite some time with what is happening around the world. I asked him what his biggest fear was, he replied his childrens future.
I did find out my sister-in-law is a big fan of shipping containers as well, Nice!
We did, we went around and looked at a couple properties, I took them out to the land we are building the cabin on, I told them to pick a spot, they buy the materials, I will build them whatever they want for a BOL. It would give them peace of mind, me a project plus another thing I can document here for you guys.
I really enjoyed spending time with my adoptive nephew, I have only seen him a handful of times over the years. When we got done stacking firewood I gave him 10 dollars for helping, I asked him what he was going to do with it, he said he was going to buy a truck. A truck I asked? My brother said yeah, he wants a lifted black f250. Like I said, he is a special needs child, it took my brother a year to teach him to ride a bike. I couldn't get him a truck, but I did the best I could. So I popped in GTA V
and drove it out in the desert and just let him drive around the best he could

yes we did have a great time. looking forward to next year. DL was chatty cathy all the way home. He wanted to use his earnings to buy us all dinner on way home. Glad he wasn't in car when we hit the deer. My wife has surprised me by being very interested in shipping container housing.
