sta-bil is what I use. Keeps gas fresh for up to 12 months.

i stock 5 gallon jugs and just rotate them into the truck occassionally. that way theres always some relatively fresh gas lying around.

FWIW, I remember a story as a kid about a guy that stored a very large amount of gas during the 70s gas surge/etc, only to find it evaporated.
Fellow sort of poked fun of himself.
At that time I remember the large tanks in the bed of pick up trucks becoming popular.
