I've only seen a few episodes from Season I. Overall, I liked Season 2 better. It seemed more "open world" rather than being confined to a warehouse/industrial park. I would love to see a behind the scenes/director's cut to see what items/materials were placed for them to use, etc.
I actually preferred season 1 over 2, obviously reality tv isn't reality, but the whole marauder camp in the second season was just a little overboard, season 1 was bad as it was, I enjoyed just seeing what they were doing, building stuff to survive, i'd still like to know what really happened to season three. The only thing I can find is this thread on topix
The colony season 3 was forced to be put on hold after an applicant winds up dead when a hostile' weapon hits his head and he falls down a flight of stairs. The family of the deceased applicant is pursuing a law suit but is dead in the water due to the waver signed by the man dismissed all legal rights to the producers
yep, did some more searching and it was addressed on the colony facebook page

I so want them to make a season 3 of the colony. I hope they go on with it even tho someone died and they had to put it on hold. I'm sorry that the person died. But everyone knows/knew the risk of death during the show. So I feel they should continue.

The Colony Nobody died. Nobody was cast for the show. No location was chosen. How could someone die that was never selected to be on the show?

Matthew Vincent Klingler Well that's what I've seen a lot of websites saying I mean that's what I think happened because why would they just stop without good reason?? Come on if u have a car ur gonna use it right? Ur not gonna walk 160 miles to work?? Ur gonna drive duh lol. So I think that someone did die and they stopped. Because it was a good thing going.

The Colony You've seen it on one website that is a blog. If someone had died it would have been in major media, or the actual news The show was cancelled due to poor ratings following season 2 and most fans came from Netflix years after the show had already been cancelled. Metal Flowers Media never finished casting for season 3 and a location was never chosen. You see it's very expensive to close off a huge chunk of property for a reality tv show and based on the ratings it just wasn't in the budget for Discovery.
