I would like to see him add fault lines, nuclear reactors and military bases. Would be interesting to see what locations would be left.

I'm not sure I would be as afraid of the winter as he is, but then again I live up north.

Does this guy live in the south somewhere? It sounds like he doesnt have much experience living in the winter. There's a few benefits that come with living in a place that has a proper winter if a collapse did happen. For one, you wouldnt have to travel far to get water because you can use the snow thats right on your doorstep. For two, the weather would help in keeping down passersby as the cold and the snow would keep a lot of people from traveling around looking for vulnerable people and/or places.

True, I don't understand people's hatred for the cold, I love the cold, more that heat. I can keep layering and improving my conditions for cold, there's only so far you can strip down in the heat. Only thing I'm jealous of is their growing season. BJ posted a pic last year of his amaranth full grown and mine hadn't even sprouted yet.

I work at a nuke plant and I wonder the same thing. The nuke plant I work for is on the mississippi river and if there is a large enough release it would contaminate everything south. Also I believe the fall out radius is 50 miles so I would be in pretty bad shape if there was a total meltdown

I'm going to reach out to clay and ask him if I can link his research paper here.

i wouldnt put much emphasis on the frost like he does. water is giver of life. here in western Canada , the coastal natives had the most leisurely lifestyle and advanced art (easier living). the further inland you go the less rich the arts get.
