We live in a house with a basement, when it has gotten bad, we've went down there. One corner is somewhat reinforced, so it is sort of like a built in storm shelter.

Tornadoes here. I live in a 2nd floor apartment and there is no basement. If one came I would most likely die.

I also live near the airport and I have always been afraid of a plane crashing near here.

We can get some pretty heavy snow here but I have to say that we live in an amazingly protected area. The lay of the hills causes most of the severe weather to go around us. When Sandy hit, we got about six inches of snow while 25 miles away they for fourth six inches! The Derecho last summer knocked our power out for ten days, but that has bent the worst thing I've seen here.

We've had a few very mild earthquakes.

Yellowstone erupting, in which case, preps won't matter. Other than that, big blizzards or wind storms. pretty mild aside from the first one.
