I have spent some much time looking up bags it not funny (partly because it fun). I will finally pick one out then see another one. I know some people don't want them to look to military style looking or look like a BOB.

My thinking is if the SHTF and I see you walking around with a big bag, I'm not wondering if you are gonna be late for school! I know what it is and have a general idea of what you have and so will others. That being said I hate the ones on emergency sites that are bright red with and say emergency on them....lol

Hydration pack built in?...if not you have to carry water.

Cubic inches? I'm sure these can be like a house and be huge, but have a crappy lay out.

Materials and cost.

I hear and see others argue for large alice packs from ebay.

I always end back on maxpeditions expensive website looking at this bag.

With this hydration pack full does it still have 2810 cubic inches of space?

I don't mind paying for a good bag, but I also want a dual purpose tough bag and I can use for hiking and camping or anything. And will need 3 total (apparently the wife and kid is not cool with me ditching them when SHTF, they are totally selfish!)

What say you?!

Versipacks are awesome.

I have a Maxpedition wallet too. Best wallet I have ever owned.

A great tie in thread to this would be bug in vs bug out, pros and cons
