Dunno if it freezes at night, actually having just moved here from the desert where freezing wasn't a concern I hadn't actually thought about that. What I have is a stainless steel water bottle with a sports type top. It's about a liter of water, an I drink from it / refill pretty regularly. It has been out there during some pretty cold nights (below freezing for sure) so now you have me curious myself to check out whether or not it turns to ice at night. I'll leave it out there again tonight, we should get low enough temps to experiment with this. I'll report back in the morning.
it's really cold here and it stays cold for months. i will freeze for sure if i leave it in the car in the winter
So we had a couple of really cold nights in a row, and yep, the water in my bottle definitely freezes. It didn't freeze solid, but there was most certainly an ice cube in there! Looks like I'll need to make sure to bring it in with me every night during the cold season. Thanks for the perspective sim!
