...Could be...I know a lot of other countries use pesticides that we banned years ago.  IMO, I think that a lot of this is just educated guesses and no one is 100% sure what it's all about...however, the risk of 'something' remains...and birth defects are scary. Everyone want's to be 'safe' from Zika...never totally safe from anything.

...it's the right thing to do...and they don't want the Olympics moved or not well attended.

The US women's soccer team has been interviewed a lot in the news...young healthy women that are thinking they want children some day.  They want to know that they will be 'safe' and want to know 'exactly' what the 'true' risks of the virus.  To me they are ignorant.  1) we learn more about this virus every couple of days and being that it is 'new' it will most likely be years before we get a true understanding of it...add to it all, they believe it has mutated once, if not twice since 1974 and keeps getting worse each time.  2) wanting to be 'safe' from a mosquito?  really, they are everywhere and they breed like crazy, you can't get rid of all of them, safe from bears-ok-, safe from flying insects-never.  Gotta be realistic people...this is pretty much a scourge.

I brought home some scarp lumber from the farm yesterday and built a couple of bat houses.  I will post some pictures later tonight.

With all the water we have at the farm there is no way we will eradicate the mosquitoes, but I will encourage as many bats as I can to help the fight.
