So I grabbed some supplies

and dumped 4 cups of flour, 1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of baking soda and 2 tbsp of sugar into a bowl and mixed well

then take 2 cups of milk and add a splash of lemon juice into it for a buttermilk substitute

and mix it into the flour

set the dough into a well buttered cast iron pan

slice the top open

if you want, brush the top with butter and honey and throw it into the oven
