Here is a an easy stirfry recipe for those on the go. An easy stirfry is a great way to stretch your food budget dollars with a high quality and filling meal with just a couple of ingredients.
Start by slicing;
- 1 zucchini
- 1 carrot
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 1/2 an onion
Throw that in a saute pan with some butter.
Let that cook down.
Add 12 ounces of cooked chicken, canned works as a great substitute.
To make the sauce you need some supplies.
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1/4 cup of Apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp of ketchup
- 2 tbsp sugar
- teaspoon of ground ginger
- 2 tbsp gran garlic,
- 3 tbsp of corn starch
- 2 tsp of red pepper flakes
Dump the ingredients into a bowl.
Mix it well, you do not want any cornstarch clumps.
Dump the sauce into the saute pan and get your rice water boiling. You usually want a two to one mixture of water and rice.
Keep stirring the vegetables and chicken while you add the rice to your boiling water.
Once the rice is done, dinner is served.
The corn starch really thickens up the veg and chicken, this can be adjusted to fit your tastes and needs. Share any easy stirfry recipes you may have, happy cooking!

We eat stir fry dinners quite often. I simply use whatever vegetables that we have and alter a basic 'sauce' to taste based on the meat used. I tend to use 'sweeter' vegetables (celery, red bell pepper, etc.) and flavor with oyster sauce added to basic sauce recipe (1 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon mild/yellow curry) For pork I used stronger flavored vegetables - onion, broccoli, green bell pepper plus add 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic, increase curry to 1/2 teaspoon and hot sauce to basic sauce. Beef is usually the same as pork minus the garlic and hot sauce but adding 1 teaspoon beef bullion/dried soup stock to give a stronger beef taste.

I love oyster sauce, I never seem to have it on hand when I want it though 🙁
I have several bottles because I need to use gluten free items and when I found this I bought several! Always good to have 'next' on hand so that you can put it on your grocery list BEFORE you get to the bottom of the last bottle .

Normally we have 6 bottles in the pantry, I never understand how we go through them so quick, I think the cat is hitting them in the middle of the night.
Put a note - BUY MORE!! - held in place with a rubber band around 2 of the bottles! And lock that cat out of the pantry - LOL!!
