Not crock pot meals, but simple "boil in a bag" meals. we do alot of it on river trips. I learned about it from my mom when I was a little kid & she worked nights. She did simple stew type things, or chicken & rice, but it worked well enough for a 6-7 year old to handle without burning down the house down. literally just boil water and drop in the bag.
on the river i do enchiladas, beans, chili, stew, chicken gravy for D/O biscuits & gravy..... We also have successfully frozen lunchmeat, tuna salad, pasta/macaroni salad, cooked sausage & bacon.
We often cook more than we need of certain things with the purpose of bagging & freezing it for later.
Pro Tip- Let whatever you are bagging cool & especially vent well before you seal it up. If you seal it in the bag fresh off the stove there is a ton of moisture trapped and it will result in soggy food.
Her ideas are interesting, might try it. But it assumes that you will have the ability to maintain a freezer-MM
