i had an amazing sandwich in Portland Maine with bacon jam in it.
It was at this place:
well I did it, but I changed the recipe somewhat
I started cooking a pound of our bacon
and let that simmer for awhile
I pulled the bacon off and chopped it up along with half a onion
I dumped in 3/4 cup of brown sugar and half a cup of honey
and let it render down some
and put it in some jelly jars
it was a hit with the family
