I've collected a few old cookbooks and find them interesting and inspiring too. The oldest and still insightful one is - Anyone Can Bake put out by the Royal Baking Powder Co. (circa 1929). A couple  Sunset books - Kitchen Cabinet Recipes (1944) had war time 'adjusted' recipes but the All-Western Foods (1947) is the neatest one in that it has recipes for wildlife! (bear, moose, mountain sheep, squirrels, sage hens and much more). Haven't tried more than one or so from these, but great references!

My personal motto - The Home, a peace worth fighting for.
