So that thread on campfire cooking got me in the mood for some food cooked in the cast iron. So I grabbed some supplies
and set the roast and the fingerling potatoes in the pot
I sliced up some onion and carrots and set that on top
sprinkled some old bay and some butter
a inch of secret sauce
and set the lid on it and threw it into the woodstove
I started sauteing up some onions
and chopped up some pancetta and threw that into the pan
sprinkled some pepper and garlic
when it was done, I grabbed some shrimp out of the fridge
and mixed the onion mixture in with it into a bread pan
I crumbled some ritz crackers and parmesan cheese on top and squeezed two lemons over it
and threw that into the oven as well
a hour or so later, it was done
a little fresh horseradish, and we were good to go
