So my wife had a sweet tooth the other night, so I gathered some supplies
I took a stick of butter and greased up a baking pan
and sprinkled the bottom with brown sugar
and dumped a can of our cherries we canned this summer into the bottom of the pan
and dumped a cup and a half of self rising flour into a bowl
a half a cup of sugar
a egg
2/3rd a cup of milk
the rest of the stick of butter and 2 teaspoons of baking powder
I mixed it well and poured it over the cherries
I set it in the woodstove and checked on it after 20 minutes, the center was still wet so i left it in for some more
after about another 20 minutes the center had firmed up
so I set a large baking pan on top
and flipped it over
it was awesome!
