And because the poultry will be processed, it will not require country-of-origin labeling. Nor will consumers eating chicken noodle soup from a can or chicken nuggets in a fast-food restaurant know if the chicken came from Chinese processing plants.
quick story, one of the products we use in the restaurant is flash frozen spinach, we pay about 36 dollars a case. I search often for cheaper products because the purveyors add new items all the time. So one day, I saw grade A spinach on one of the purveyors order guide for 21 dollars a case. So I ordered it.
It came in the next day, now normally, our spinach comes in 12 3 pound bricks, in wax paper cartons wrapped in plastic so they don't get freezer burned. When I opened the case, I was surprised it was packed in just plastic bags. First thing I noticed was it was freezer burned, second thing I noticed was product of china was printed on the side of the bag. I looked at the driver and said, how the hell can China ship produce for nearly half the price, and how the hell can you guys sell this crap, he had no clue and I sent it back.
Anywho, yeah, raise your own birds if you can
