I havent checked the video, but I just got a little idea....did this person by chance put misters in the PVC that is over the plants? I just had an idea in my head of putting misting system going through those PVCs, to water the plants. I really don't even have experience growing crops, just seems like a good idea.

EDIT:

Just watched it. I didn't see him use it for a watering system, but I'd imagine it could double as a watering system, as long as it does stay above freezing. For those of you with harsh winters - if you left that plastic tarp over it, would it still get below freezing at night?
