nice PDF on establishment.

I just heard about the benifits of planting potatoes and squashes into your hugelkultur and swale mounds in the first year.  Im not sure which podcast I was listening to at the time, but this is the second place I heard about it in two days!

Definitely picked up a few tips here.

Don't leave a brother hanging!  Why should we be planting potatoes and squash into our swales?

They're great for breaking up and working the soil during establishment. I always was focused on nitrogen and looked past this. Glad I have some seed potatoes on order!
