sour

When I was a kid, my grandmother had the hugest sour cherry tree in her yard. We would climb it and stuff ourselves.

Yesterday I planted beets and carrots. I hope the rain doesn't wash them away. Today I finished transplanting the leeks and transplanted some of the volunteer turnips that sprouted when I gathered my seeds.

I had to set the garlic in front of a fan because the air is just too wet and they won't dry.

I've had japanese beetles ravage my sweet cherry tree. I tried to save it, but it's taken damage to about 35-45% of the leaves. I'm hopeful, but not confident it will make it.

Otherwise the garden is doing well. We've been picking zucchini like crazy. Same with the Kale and the lettuces are finishing up. Cukes, tomatoes, tomatillos and ground cherries are growing. Peppers not so much.

Going to harvest my two heads of cabbage this weekend and make some saurkraut!

Milky spore will get rid of the Japanese beetles. It eats the larve before they hatch. It works very well
