We haven't been tallying! Getting between 4 and 7 per day! I lots my four yesterday though to my egg sucking dogs! I made the mistake of putting the buckes on the ground while I did something else. Silly me!

The seedlings are doing very well. We have about 50 onions, a few dozen brassicas, chard spinach, lettuce. I'm really tempted to pinch a few leaves for salad, but they aren't ready for that yet!

We got five eggs yesterday and four today. After Sunday we'll have the meat from a 250 lb. hog. My cousin is coming over and butchering about eight rabbits. I'm getting about a half dozen turkey peepers next week. I think we'll be getting a cow in the next month or so.

We'll be starting seeds later in the month. Brown, white and Butter beans. Going to try Black Valentine beans this year. Tenderette grean beans, kale, cucumbers for pickles, Roma tomatos and a yellow tomato that a 75 year old friend of mine that has used these same seeds since he worked the garden with his great grandmaw when he was a kid. fully grown they are big as your face. Dang, now I'm in the mood, guess I'll start seeds sooner.

I'm curious about the total lbs of meat you will get from the hog.

Our seedlings went outside today and I planted a bed of carrots and a bed of turnips, three pots of purple potatoes. We are going to experiment with soil vs hay for the growing medium.

I have some beans that have been in a friends family for generations. It is a great gift!
