Not sure if I am breaking a guidline here.
But.... we are into planting things that produce food every year...fruit trees, raspberries, asparagus, rhubarb...
It's normally a sure crop(s) of quality food for a long time.
I do want to plugh St Lawrence Nurseries.
They specialize in cold hardy heirloom varieties of fruit trees. The couple that started it years ago retired and they were going to close it this year...they could not find a person to run it...good news...the did find a young man who is going to try and make a go of it.
Orders for spring of 2016 need to be in by the end of this month...which is very early for them...he is trying to plan things and start small as he grows into the operation.
It's a small place, family owned and independent.
I hope some of you will consider some of their trees and order them to supplement your own food productio...true heirloom fruit trees are getting harder to find...and this is a quality place to buy from.
Thanks.
