Its crazy that its been that common throughout history but I've never heard of it. It seems like we live with a huge disconnect from even recent history.

I'm so thankful to be from WV, where growing up meant going to sit at Grandmas house to help string beans or chop cabbage or can up the garden stuff. The older folks lived out on the farms and didn't want to catch up with the "Jones" lol. I'm passing along every bit of knowledge I can to anyone who wants to learn. I believe we're going to need that knowledge again shortly...
