Finally!!! Got SOMETHING into the ground! Put in 26 assorted tomatoes with Basil plants in between. I read somewhere that tomatoes and basil have a symbiotic relationship so I co-planted the bed.

Something is wrong with my bigger tiller and I need to use it tomorrow.Eric said he'd fix it tomorrow evening after work... I am not going to be able to get the rest of my raised beds done in time to plant this year. So in desperation, I'm tilling up the area where the beds are supposed to go and planting it in rows for now. Better that than no garden at all. Hubby put me up a dusk to dawn light so I can garden at night when its hot. Its nice!!! It also seems to draw the skeeters away which is great. I have worked outside at least 12 hours a day every day this week and I'm POOPED!!!!!

I guess Spring is over with here since tomorrows high is supposed to be 86!!! I sure did enjoy those "3 DAYS" of Spring we got...... lol ;)

I should get my final two beds planted this weekend. I noticed before I left for work last night that my broccoli is starting to develop heads. Gonna be hard to resist picking them til they get bigger...

I know what you mean, the first things to grow always look so good after a whole winter of eating canned or frozen veggies!
