Nice! Those beds are going to look great once they are all full. A pretty good resource I found is the SFG Foundation's youtube channel. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.c.....Foundation

Just thin a few out that look a bit weaker than the others and you should be ok.

When I plant I usually drop like two seeds into the hole and pick one out later, the weakest one. Works just fine. I have planted single seeds in the past and they were "duds" so I started doing two. Now that Im doing an SFG, I have kept doing that and it seems to work just fine.

i am experimenting with one seed method in some squares

i made strips of newspaper

spaced out elmers glue dots

use a pencil tip (dipped in small dish of water) to pick a single lettuce/carrot/onion/beet seed

laid out strips on square

covered with a little dirt

I got this idea from gardenweb and wanted to see how it worked (1 seed, perfectly spaced, no thinning)

Will update

Thanks for all comments, any advice on pests (coons, skunks, possums)?

New item for suggestion. Im zone 6b, but my backyard faces south and there is no shade at all. I get a lot of sun in backyard, from like 6 am to 7pm already

any advice about crops or interesting things i should try.

Also, I do have some semi dwarf fruit trees i planted last year. I will post pics of those later and ask for some suggestions. Peach tree has a ton of fruit on it right now (small of course), dont know if i should cut it off because it will get too large for branches to handle
