We have been adding fruit trees to our property over the last 5 years and last year we got about a dozen apples from the first trees we planted in 2008

so I was walking around yesterday checking the trees and pretty much all of them have fruit on them

my dads cabin

I planted one right next to his cabin because the man loves apples, I figured it would be cool for him to walk out and just grab a apple off his deck

this is one of the first trees we planted that was destroyed by deer the first year, I stopped counting around 60

both of our cherry trees are loaded, i need to get some netting over them for the birds

this is the last remaining peach trees we have, we have lost 4 over the years, I must have scared it, because I told it, if you don't fruit this year, I'm pulling you out.

this is going to bump up my food production a ton

Looks awesome. We have yet to plant a fruit tree here -- wish we would have a few years ago. I hate to think we are ~ 5 years out from any fruit.

thanks, yeah 4-5 i the norm, they recommend cutting any fruits the first couple years so the trees focus on growth and rooting versus fruiting as well

it's living, no fruits on it though, but it's only been planted 2-3 years

4-5 years? I must be doing something wrong with my plumb bush. It was 18 inches when I planted it, 4 years ago. It now stands a whopping 2 feet even.
