hmm, might have to try this as a experiment, not sure how well it works, from my understanding the plant uses the seed potato as nutrients for growth, I do see they say the results aren't the best though

There are some things that I will cut corners with. I've tried growing potatoes a lot of different ways including leaving as little potato on the eye as possible and after many years, for me the best way has been to give them lots to start with
