Lol! Congratulations!

I have long bamboo poles that I use to herd my chickens.

Alright the heavy lifting is mostly over. We hired some guys too move our stuff in so this week we'll be unpacking and arranging. I should get started on the garden next weekend.

For now the chickens and I are getting along a little better. I've been letting them out into the yard too peck and scratch and they've been ready to go back in when we leave. We even got our first egg.

How much should 6 hens be eating? I've been giving them about 3 cups of feed in the morning and 3 in the evening. Is that enough?

We spent the first night in the new house last night. The chickens and I are getting along better. Now I just need to introduce them to the dogs without anyone getting killed. Also, this is the truck we bought:

It was $1500.00, has about 120k miles, 4x4, and the AC blows cold. What else could I need?

Nice! I try to make sure that my chickens always have some scratch. I had a feeder but my horses took it apart! I always feed them in the hen house and in the evening when I want them to go in.

They store food in their craw and it gets ground up then goes down. It is funny because even though I know they have plenty to eat, they always act like they are starving!

same here, between free ranging, their food, my wife giving them bread, them raiding the strawberries and stealing from the duck house, they never stop!

Thanks so much for the books Kyle. They are greatly appreciated and will be a huge help going forward. You're awesome man.
