Hi all. Looking for a "killer" pork shoulder recipe for the slow cooker. Something not too complicated. Also, we're not into spicy foods. Maybe a good barbeque? Something cool I've never even heard of?? (bonus points if you know what movie that last line is from)

or you can go simple and just put it in the slowcooker with a couple of onion, carots and celery. Pour a nice brown beer or barleywine and add a bit of maple syrup

this may sound weird, but soak it in coke overnight first, it will break down connective tissues and melt in your mouth, try sims recipe with the maple syrup, that sounds pretty darn good

yeah coke is great for marinades. I like to make some jack & coke brisket.

Just make sure you sample the marinade first.
