Sorry, I didn't really feel like reading the articles, but why would anyone (not on the Monsanto payroll) want to ban heirloom seeds?
People have been turned into sheep who do not enjoy thinking for themselves. Rather, they like to read something written up by big corporations or fancy-pants-scientist that get paid by big corporations, and simply nod their heads and say, "okay." We are being told that seed saved or from seed banks could be a form of agri-terrorism. Now the idea that the small scale farmer selling to local buyers is the one we need to worry about be an agricultural terrorist, is just mind boggling to me. Stopping to think about the true meaning behind an issue (in my opinion, control of the food supply) is just too much of an effort, not to mention people refuse to believe those in charge have any ill-intent. We have become too accustomed to having someone else do everything for us, and it seems as though that refers to personal thought and common sense as well.
Anyways, that's my opinion as to why someone not on Monsanto's payroll would want to ban heirloom seeds.
