The gf and i moved just moved to another appartment with a small backyard. I am excited to be able to have my garden at home.

There was a 7x5 "garden" there with lost of crap in it.

So i proceeded to remove all the crap from it. Stupid previous renter planted mint. I hate mint it gets everywhere.

Then i put a compost/peatmoss/vermiculite mix and squared it.

I plan on putting netting on the side where you see the bbqs and put some cucombers, green beans, and zuchini there.

I'll try to update this thread and put more pics when available

yes i did give it up when we signed the lease with a backyard.

Community garden was nice but annoying at the same time.

Too many old people hanging out there all day long and bitching at the first sight of weeds on your spot.

Also, it's cool to have it right there at home and not a few blocks away.

Then i poceeded to put a little fence around it so that the neighbor's cats don't just walk right in it.

I also put a structure to hold netting to do a bit of vertical gardenning.

Stained the whole thing and i'm pretty proud of the results

I also put some cedar mulch around to stop the grass from going in the garden,
