For starters,im new to prepping. I talked my friend into starting a garden.

He planted wayy too many cucumbers and brought a shitload of them over to me and said "Now what?"

I said,no problem,we'll make pickles bro.

I made one batch so far from a Mrs. Wages pre-made package. Not sure how they are gonna turn out.

I want some legit recipes. Can a Sucka get some help?

I like allrecipes.com for most of the stuff I haven't tried yet. Check this page out, find a recipe you think you might like, just make sure you read the comments, they provide a lot of insight from others who have tried it in the past and may have made some adjustments.

If you are new to canning, Mrs. Wages is a great product to learn with, when I'm in a rush i will use them but I'll throw a half a habanero in the bottom of the jars using the butter pickle pouch, kicks the heat level up!

When I make from scratch I usually use these recipes

we made a bunch of the fresh pack dill last year and they came out great

also the link DD posted is a great tool

do you have a canning book? There are a ton of great recipes in there as well

Here is a good site for common pickle issues

Thanks Kvr28 and DD for the info. Going to try most of those recipes.

I ended up using a recipe from my friends grandmother. Turns out it was Very similar to the recipe on the package of the canning salt we used.

We just added some bell peppers onions and fresh garlic.(Plus some sriracha in a few)

I just got a canning pot and wanted to use it lol. Made 29 jars last night.
