So we got our broilers back yesterday, they were beautiful

so I threw one into a pan

and chopped up some taters

and some peppers and onions

I chopped up some carrots and rubbed some butter and sprinkled with old bay, I love me some old bay

and set the bird into the oven at 375 for 2 hours

Nice looking bird; its been a few years since I raised chickens. I used to do that with my folks; now that the wife and I have our own place, probably need to make that happen next year. Looks good!

I was totally surprised how big they got so fast, I think I let them go a week or two to long and wasted some money on grain that wasn't really putting on weight, I will know better for next year though

Yeah, our first bunch when I was a kid, we actually had a few birds die from over eating (let them go too long). It's all a learning process.
