So I found some Pancetta left in the freezer last night and figured I would make something with it.
I grabbed some potatoes and a onion
And started melting some butter
while that was melting, I sliced up the potatoes
I peeled the onion and chopped that up and threw it into the butter
I grabbed my supplies
and chopped up the pancetta
I threw that in with the onions
and added some salt, pepper and garlic
I added 3 tablespoons of flour
and poured the pint of heavy cream into the pan
and slowly stirred while it simmered
I poured the mixture of the potatoes
and dumped a couple cups of milk back into the pan to deglaze it
and poured that over the potatoes as well
A little shaker cheese on top, and into the oven it goes. Bake at 400 for 45 minutes coveres with aluminum foil, then uncover and bake for another 30, stir in between
I had pulled some steaks out of the freezer
a little salt, pepper and garlic
and throw them onto the grill
the potatoes were ready as well
Dinner was served
you can use bacon instead of pancetta also
