Both those eggs look pretty overdone!! Oiling eggs does work, I've done it. Anymore I never seem to have extra eggs to put back. My Great Granny used the old fashioned waterglass to save eggs. I looked and they still sell it. Wonder if the Amish still use it?

my FIL used the method, he's not amish, but pennsylvania dutch, close enough lol
