Doode, that is a good question. If you are aware of an existing problem, by all means use chicken wire. Why not? Although moles seek out worms underground, so why would they bother? Buy some wire and put it under one of them and see what happens.

What do you think about transporting a yard in my F150?

Here is what the guy said:

We only recommend 1 yard for a ½ ton pickup. It weights roughly a ton. Your call.

So here is what Ive got.

Two 4x4x10 beds and two 4x8 beds. By my calculations I need about 2.16 yards of soil.

For mulch I just dont know. I would like it to come off about 1-2 feet on all sides around all the beds...

you'll need 2.66 yards of soil for 6 inch beds and 1.333 yards of mulch to do a 6 deep pathway
