it will compact a lot, you could lay cardboard down first and go with 3 to 4 inches of mulch on top and you should be allset

Hmmm. I will just make two trips with the dirt, fill the boxes and then when I plant stop and get the mulch.

Do you recommend a certain type of mulch? I suppose it really doesnt matter. I was just going to go with red or brown.

doesn't matter, if you have any pine trees around, just rake up a crap load of pine needles and use those

What did the delivery run you? I may just have 3 yards of soil and two of mulch delivered. I bet it would be cheaper than hauling it with my pickup.

wow, so forget that overpriced place.

if I'm doing my math right I need about 60 cubic feet of dirt...

2 beds @ 4x4x10

2 beds @ 4x8x6

4*4*.083

4*8*.50

if that's right I could do this cheaper at Menards I think just buying it all and mixing myself
