So I think Im going to go with the following.

I need to fill 60 cubic feet.

25 bags: http://www.menards.c.....490732.htm

25 bags: http://www.menards.c.....490734.htm

Follow that up with about 20 cubic feet of peat moss and I should be golden. I will also probably toss a little 10-10-10 in there for good measure. End of season I will mix in some lime too and let that sit all winter long.

10-10-10: http://www.tractorsu.....b--6862387

This shouldnt cost more than $120 and will fill my four beds.

Dumb question. How about using grass clippings as mulch for my raised garden? We always did that when I was a kid, but I'm worried about weeds and grass growing in my garden.

One more dumb question. I bought some trays of onion plants today. It's trays with a crapload of onion plants. I assume I'm supposed to seperate the individual plants and plant them seperately?
