It is pretty decent although I would have liked him to have gone into even more detail on some of his stuff, but I think he shy's away from that because he doesn't just want you to carbon copy the exact same thing he has done.

The GF wants to garden, but she learned from her French grandmother - rows, strings, monoculture. So every spring, she starts out like a house on fire...and then the sub-tropical heat sets in and it falls on me to keep it up.
I'm tired of starting over every year, and all of the maintenance it requires.
Time to work smart, and not hard.

Martin this book might interest you as well, I don't have it but people on the permaculture boards speak very highly of it and refer to it as their bible
