I pulled the last of the potatoes the other day and still have some carrots, cabbage and kale to get through. Hopefully the smoking of the bacon will be done next week and we can pick up the pigs.

pretty good actually. I have a new job which didn't allow me to work on the garden as much as i wanted, but it was good anyways.

Had some spaghetti squash, lots of cucombers, ridiculous amounts of cherry tomatoes, decent amounts of chard, some eggplant, etc

here is a pic of it in august

also had some bell peppers but didn't workout much and the ones that were nice were stolen by the squirrels

i have three raised beds with frames and visqueen over them. one has broccoli, brussel sprouts, and assorted greens like mesclun, maiche, corn salad, and spinach. second one has brussel sprouts and greens. third one has collards and pok choy, and napa cabbage. all of my herbs are in our south facing bay window. i still need to plant out a bunch of red raspberries i got from my uncle's farm. i figure if i get them out this week and cover them they should do ok.

i still need to pick up a load of manure from a friend of mine and till my raised beds. the asparagus needs to be weeded and mulched. i need to construct some compost bins. all of my leaves and pulled plants are in a huge pile and just need some care to get them composting.

Mines been done for a while. Except onions. I don't know much about onions. After I planted them, they all seemed to die. Seemed they couldn't tolerate the competition from everything around them (especially the tomatoes). So my tomatoes are done, and I pull everything up and compost it. Well now all of a sudden my onions are coming back. Lol WTF?? It's only about 1/3 to 1/2 of them, but surprising none the less.
