So I dug out the garlic today and hung it to dry.

Looks like it needs to hang for 4-6 weeks.

you can just lay it down flat with the bulb in the table and the rest hanging off. Leave the dirt on. They will keep for months and months if you do.

we just laid ours over our grill out in the sun for a couple weeks and rotated them every day, then my wife braided them
