How long can these be stored?

Depends on the storage method. There's a way to seal it in a drum with dry ice (which pushes all of the O2 out of the drum, replacing it with CO2 and doesn't allow any microbe or pest growth). I'll see if I can find a video for you.

that would be cool. i'd like to put a lg amt of each up in the shtf pantry & not have tothink about it again.

there is a bunch of ways to do it, like DD said, dry ice, nitrogen etc. The only issue I have with the bucket system is once you open, you have to use it, I'm a firm believer in store what you eat and just integrate your stores into your normal routine
