The classes are going well. I'm taking a ton of notes. I've fallen behind a bit. This time of year it's hard to put in the time with the garden, chickens and two kids taking up a lot of my attention when I get home from work. Luckily the garden is going into the low maintenance stage and the chickens are pretty well established so that should free up some time. I'm trying to get some of the videos in during my lunch hour when I get one. They offered Bill Mollison's book at a discount for enrolling in the course so I ordered that and received it this weekend (an argument can be made it should have been included with the price of the classes). Overall I'm pretty impressed with the production value and the content. I cant wait to put some of what I'm learning into practice!

nice, yeah for the price you paid, you would think it would be included, so there's no deadline with this? you can work at your own pace?

Yes, it's a go at your own pace course, which at this point is working to my benefit. I may take Monday off from work and use it as a "catch-up" day.

when you say you have to do a landscape design at the end, does that mean on paper? Or actually go out and do one? Have you thought about how you want to do that at all?

You have to do one on paper.

I'm trying to decide if I want to design my yard or my parent's yard in Virginia. They already have water on the property, so it may be easier to design. Since it's smaller than my place, the elements would have to be smaller and there would be fewer of them. I still havent decided, though.
